Full Metal Jackets
This is one tough string.
Bouncin' Betty Full Metal Jackets are designed to "bounce back" after heavy bending. Full Metal Jackets utilize high-tempered Swedish steel; a very durable and pure steel with a high iron content. The combination of a Swedish steel hex core and a nickel outer wrap is a perfect formula for offering incredible tensile strength while delivering outstanding tone. In short, these strings are made to be tough and sound great too!
Most strings use 2% nickel in the outer wrap. We use 8% nickel in our our outer wrap. Between the Sweedish steel core, and the nickel rich wrap, they have earned the name "Full Metal Jackets"!
Heck, I hear they even named ammo after them! After WWII, soldiers came back and needed a good string to play for the lady types. They discovered Bouncin' Betty and strung their guitars up with Full Metal Jackets. The sound was so melodious that the women would swoon over the returned GIs. So much in fact, that the Baby Boom was actually born from this string.
Okay... that last paragraph was a stretch. But what can I say? I LOVE these strings!
...and I have a sense of humor!
